Removal of implants and replacement with fat transfer w breast lift. Austin Tx.

Our patient had breast augmentation with saline implants previously by another surgeon through the belly button (TUBA) and had developed capsular contracture on the right and breast ptosis on the left presenting to us for evaluation. We developed a plan to intentionally rupture the implants in preparation for a revision surgery 3 weeks before her surgery. This allows the breast tissue to contract and also allows the patient a period to evaluate her desired size. A breast lift would be useful to improve the overall aesthetic and also felt that we could replace the implant volume with her own fat and suggested a lipoabdominoplasty with transfer of the fat to the breasts. Fat transferred to the right breast was 200 cc, left side 380 cc, and fat removed from the abdomen was 1150 cc. Her old implants were removed and of note her post op results do not have any implants at all.
