Breast Reduction with Lateral Chest Liposuction – 1 Year Post-Op Results

Our patient in her 50s came to us with concerns about heavy breasts, neck pain, and shoulder discomfort. She wanted to reduce and lift her breasts to feel more comfortable and achieve a more balanced, natural figure. Before surgery, she wore a 34G bra size and desired a significant reduction in both size and weight. After a thorough consultation, including a complete history and physical examination, we determined she was an excellent candidate for breast reduction surgery. We performed a superior medial pedicle breast reduction with a Wise-pattern skin excision, combined with VASER-assisted liposuction of the lateral chest. This approach reduced the fullness along the outer chest, improved overall contour, and helped her clothing fit more comfortably. In total, we removed approximately 300 grams of breast tissue from each side and performed about 300 cc of liposuction on each lateral chest. At her 1-year follow-up, she shows a significant reduction in breast size, enhanced lateral chest contour, improved symmetry, and better positioning of the nipple and areola. The result is a lighter, more proportionate silhouette that complements her frame beautifully.
