The Face

Rejuvenating the face, naturally

Facial aging happens in layers — volume loss, descent of the deeper tissues, and changes in the skin. Lasting rejuvenation treats the layer that is actually aging, which is why Dr. Levesque is known for the deep plane facelift: it repositions the deep structures rather than pulling skin, for a result that looks refreshed instead of “done.”

Whether you need one procedure or a combination — a facelift with a neck lift, eyelids, brow, or fat grafting — every plan is built around your anatomy and goals. Many of these procedures are performed under local anesthesia with oral sedation for a safer, faster recovery.

Because Dr. Levesque is a board-certified plastic surgeon who performs the full range of facial surgery, the recommendation you get is the right one for your face — sometimes a facelift, sometimes a lesser procedure, sometimes a non-surgical option.

The Approach

Facelift techniques, from deep plane to mini

Not all facelifts are the same. A deep plane facelift releases and repositions the deeper tissues (the SMAS and its ligaments) for the most natural, longest-lasting result. A mini or short-scar facelift suits earlier, more limited aging. Dr. Levesque matches the technique to your anatomy rather than applying one method to everyone — and will tell you honestly when a full facelift isn’t yet needed.

Candidacy

Am I a candidate — and what is the best age?

There is no single right age for a facelift. Most patients are in their 50s and 60s, but the right time is when the changes bother you and your skin still has reasonable quality. In general, good candidates are:

  • In good general health and non-smoking (or able to stop before and after surgery)
  • Bothered by jowling, a heavy neck, or midface descent that non-surgical options can no longer address
  • Realistic — seeking a natural, rested version of themselves rather than a different face

If you are earlier in the process, Dr. Levesque may recommend a lesser procedure or non-surgical treatments first, and surgery when it will truly help.

What to Expect

Recovery & what the process looks like

Recovery varies by procedure, but facial rejuvenation generally follows this arc:

  • 1Consultation & plan. Dr. Levesque assesses your face and skin and recommends the technique and any combined procedures, with a clear quote.
  • 2Procedure. Performed in an accredited facility, often under local anesthesia with oral sedation for appropriate patients.
  • 3Early recovery. Expect about 1–2 weeks of visible bruising and swelling; sutures typically come out around a week. Most people feel presentable for low-key outings within 2 weeks.
  • 4Settling in. Swelling resolves over several weeks and the result continues to refine over a few months.
Investment

Cost & financing

Facelift and facial-rejuvenation cost depends on the specific procedure and whether others are combined, so pricing is given at consultation once your plan is set. Each procedure page lists its pricing. Financing and monthly payment plans are available.

FAQ

Facial rejuvenation questions

There is no single right age. Most facelift patients are in their 50s and 60s, but the right time is when the changes bother you and skin quality is still good. Dr. Levesque gives an honest assessment of whether surgery, a lesser procedure, or non-surgical options fit best.
A deep plane facelift repositions the deeper layer of facial tissue (the SMAS and the ligaments beneath it) rather than just tightening skin, which produces a natural, longer-lasting result without a pulled look.
Yes. Dr. Levesque performs deep plane facelifts under local anesthesia with oral sedation for appropriate patients, avoiding general anesthesia and often meaning a quicker recovery.
A well-done deep plane facelift typically lasts around 10 years or more. You keep aging naturally afterward, but you will always look younger than if you had never had it.
A mini or short-scar facelift addresses earlier, limited aging with smaller incisions and less recovery. A full deep plane facelift addresses more advanced jowling and neck changes with a longer-lasting result.
A neck lift, eyelid lift, brow lift, and facial fat grafting are common pairings. Dr. Levesque recommends only what genuinely improves your result.
Most patients take about 1 to 2 weeks for the visible bruising and swelling to settle, with the result refining over the following weeks to months.
That is the whole point of the deep plane technique and Dr. Levesque’s approach — repositioning deep tissue rather than pulling skin avoids the tight, wind-blown look.
Cost depends on the technique and any combined procedures and is quoted at consultation. Financing and payment plans are available.
