Surgeon's Perspective

Dr. Levesque on the Breast Augmentation

When a patient has a mild underlying asymmetry, I can use slightly different implant volumes to even things out — here, 400cc on the left and 360cc on the right. It's a small difference, but it's what makes the final result look balanced rather than simply bigger.

I placed the Motiva Ergonomix implants in a subfascial pocket through an inframammary incision. The subfascial plane adds a layer of soft-tissue coverage over the implant while avoiding the animation deformity that can come with going under the muscle, and the IMF incision keeps the scar hidden in the fold. Her recovery was quick and her result is stunning.
