Surgeon's Perspective

Dr. Levesque on the Deep Plane Facelift

A secondary lift years after a first one calls for restoring both position and volume. Here anterior deep neck contouring cleaned out the deep neck, a vertically-directed deep plane repositioned the SMAS, and 22 cc of fat replaced what had thinned in the temples, cheeks, and orbital rims.

The aim was a moderate reversal — refreshed, not 'operated on.' Her recovery was smooth and the scars are nearly invisible, so she doesn't need to change how she wears her hair.
