Surgeon's Perspective

Dr. Levesque on the Eyelid Lift

She didn't look tired because she was — she looked tired because of a sharp step-off between her lower lids and cheeks, together with some early volume loss in the midface. Addressing both at once is what makes the result read as natural rather than "done."

Through a transcutaneous lower blepharoplasty I smoothed the lid-to-cheek transition and vertically shortened the lower lid, then used her own fat — transferred to the inferior orbit, cheeks, temples, and forehead — to rebuild the soft contours of the upper face. Done in our in-office operating suite under local anesthesia, she leaves with a rested, more youthful shape.
